WORK OBJECTIVE
Performs routine to basic accounting support work according to generally accepted standard accounting principles, established procedures, departmental guidelines, and regulatory requirements applicable to the work. Employees in this classification perform the duties listed below according to the functional area of assignment. This position requires extensive customer contact in a team-oriented work environment and is expected to exercise professional judgment and maintain a degree of work independence under the supervision of the Billing & Collection Accounting Supervisor or designee Assignment areas may include, but are not necessarily limited to, utility billing, collections, reconciliations, deposits, liens recording, meter accounting, accounts receivable, and business tax receipts. Employees in this classification are responsible for all inquiries and reporting related to the assigned functional area.
